# Threats to the Homeland Report

The report covers campaigns targeting U.S. government & critical industry, showing a shift from espionage to strategic positioning. 

Highlights from the report: 

**-** State-aligned actors now treat U.S. networks as long-term strategic assets, not one-off targets. 

**-Identity is the top failure point.** Valid account abuse is the leading technique across U.S. incidents (MITRE T1078).

**- ICS/OT is now fair game.** Groups like Volt Typhoon have already mapped U.S. grid environments for potential disruption.

**- Geopolitical tension = more intrusions.** When global risk spikes, U.S. government and Critical Industry targeting jumps 35–45% in the next quarter.
